Yoga and Cultural Tour – 12 Days

Overview:

Yoga Culture Tour is a new yoga concept developed by Chetana Yoga Foundation. We have carefully blended blissful yoga and meditation programme with tour of various spiritual and cultural fountains in Nepal. Nepal is naturally and culturally rich. Plus, it has a history of learned yogis and meditators traveling here for higher learning practices.
Daily yoga and meditation remain at the core of our regular schedule. In addition, the spiritual tours will help us expand our consciousness as we travel and learn through the footsteps of ancient Hindu and Buddhist yogis.

We will spend the first few days exploring the cultural and world heritages sites in Kathmandu Valley. The information we disseminate and share will be based on the spiritual and historical aspects. There are 7 World Heritage Sites spread across the valley. The Pashupatinath temple has been a centre of Hindu tradition and belief since centuries. In fact, Kathmandu had many ashrams in the past, where yogis learned and preached spirituality. The Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Stupa are full of ancient Buddhist learnings and cultures. Similarly, the Durbar Squares of Patan and Bhaktapur, Changunarayan and several other places play significant roles in the culture and spirituality of local Nepali people.

We will continue our journey towards naturally rich Chitwan National Park and Pokhara. We will hike up to the Australian Camp before returning to Ghalegaun and later driving back to Kathmandu. Ghalegaun is a popular Homestay village. Gurung, the ethnic group of Nepal, are the local inhabitants. Staying with them will be a unique experience.
Apart from such an insightful and spiritual traveling, we will spend significant hours each day practicing effective yoga and meditation.

Notes:
Yoga and meditation sessions are scheduled respectively in the morning and evening each day.
Normally, yoga classes are 75 minutes long and guided meditation classes are 40 minutes.
We will be learning about meditation and yoga (including practice) in various outdoor areas where we travel.
We organize the trips carefully with focus on safety and peace of mind. However, as we are also traveling, we ask you to be prepared and flexible at certain times.
