Lumbini Meditation Retreat is a deep meditation journey organized around the Birthplace on Gautam Buddha.
Lumbini is a Buddhist pilgrimage site located in the southern plain of Nepal. Gautam Buddha, the enlightened one was born in Lumbini some 2560 years ago. Lumbini is the best place for practicing meditation and experiencing the energy field. As Buddhism is flourishing everywhere, the birthplace of Buddha is gaining its reputation as the fountain of world peace.

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,400m) Airport
Upon your arrival, our representative will receive you at the airport and arrange your transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. You are free to rest for the day or explore the lively town of Thamel with your group. In the evening, we will meet for dinner and briefing of the tour.
Day 2-3: Kathmandu Valley Cultural Exploration
We will explore the World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu Valley. The Swayambhunath and Boudhanath Temple are two pillars of Buddhist spirituality and culture in Kathmandu. We will visit several monasteries in the district, and later visit the Durbar Square in Patan and Bhaktapur.
Day 4: 7-hour Drive to Lumbini
After breakfast, we will drive towards Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha. We will be tired by the end of the journey and will spend the rest of the day resting and meditating.
Day 5-6-7: Meditation and Lumbini Exploration
We will spend the next three days in blissful meditation and cultural exploration of Lumbini. UNESCO has listed 6.24 sq km of the area was world heritage site and Monastic Zone. We will visit Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Golden Temple, World Peace Pagoda, Buddha Vihar, China Temple and Lumbini Museum along with several other monasteries in the region. We will also meet Buddhist Monks and learn various techniques of meditation.
Day-8: 7-hour drive back to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will drive back to Kathmandu. Once at Kathmandu, we will transfer to our hotel. Later we will meet for a farewell dinner and share our experience.
Our meditation journey has come to an end. According to your departure schedule, we will arrange your transfer to the airport.
